JOB PURPOSE

This role is labour intensive in nature and its moderately complex in supporting various teams throughout ZHT. In addition to providing excellent quality craftsmanship, the incumbents in this position are responsible for providing efficient, timely and responsive deliverables as set out by Team Leaders and Supervisors. The ability to work and function in a team and individual environments is a highly sought-out skill by Zodiac Hurricane Technologies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Read and follow electrical schematics and instructions
• Ability to follow direction and instructions from Team Leaders and Supervisors
• Capable of problem solving and decision making
• ABYC an asset
• Knowledge in navigations systems

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: 

Education & Experience: 

• Highschool graduate or equivalent
• 2 to 3 years’ experience in Marine Electrical Systems
• Marine electrical troubleshooting is an asset

Skills: 

• Ability to understand 12-volt DC, 120/140 shore power and marine electrical systems
• Read/Write/Speak English
• Familiar with basic hand tools
• Good communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Flexible schedule to meet the demands of the role including working outside of more traditional hours, work would be scheduled between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
• 8 hours per shift, with 30-minute lunch break and 2 (two) 15 minutes breaks – business permitting
• Seasonally opportunities to work overtime will be available, management will post openings
• Steel-toe work boots and own set of hand tools are required
