British Columbia Defence Supplier List
Industry Research in Progress
The Association of British Columbia Marine Industries (ABCMI) is developing the British Columbia Defence Supplier List - a comprehensive directory of BC-based companies operating within, or possessing the capabilities to enter, the defence industrial landscape across the Sea, Land, Air, Space, Cyber, and Joint domains.
Why are we doing this?
BC is home to a deep and diverse defence-capable supplier base, but there has never been a single, verified reference that brings it all together. The British Columbia Defence Supplier List will change that. When complete, this directory will serve as a strategic tool for business development and export promotion, connecting BC suppliers with prime contractors, tier-1 and tier-2 partners, and government stakeholders seeking to meet procurement and Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) obligations.
Who is doing the research?
ABCMI has retained CTRS Market Intelligence, a Metro Vancouver-based market intelligence and research consultancy, to conduct the supplier identification, data collection, and validation work for this project.
What does this mean for your company?
If your company is based in British Columbia and operates in the defence sector - or produces technologies and products with defence applications - you may be contacted by the CTRS research team. They are reaching out to confirm company details, verify capabilities, and collect updated information for inclusion in the directory. We encourage you to participate. The information you provide will help ensure your company is accurately represented in a publication that will be used by decision-makers across Canada's defence procurement landscape.
Want to make sure your company is included?
If you believe your company should be in this directory and haven't heard from the CTRS team yet, please contact them directly at alexis.gill@ctrs.co. We want to capture the broadest possible picture of BC's defence-capable industrial base.
