The Workshop will be held at 12:30pm-5:00pm (Newfoundland Time) Nov 25-26, 2020 using Zoom Webinar. The registration is free of charge. The Workshop will report on the progress made on ship underwater radiated noise and maritime autonomous surface ships following the CISMaRT 2018 and 2019 Workshops. Opportunities for follow-on projects in these subject areas to be funded by Transport Canada (TC) and National Research Council (NRC) will be discussed. Draft agenda is provided below:
- Nov. 25, 2020 – Ship Underwater Radiated Noise
- Overview of ongoing TC-funded projects and full-scale data collection
- Panel discussions
- Identifying key research objectives for consideration in development of future TC calls for proposals
- Nov. 26, 2020 – Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships
- Overview of NRC’s Ocean Initiatives and progress made by the Canadian Forum for Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (CFMASS) initiatives
- Panel discussions
- Opportunities and funding for CISMaRT to build on current work with a focus on enabling MASS and mechanisms for funding support.
