Job Description
Senior Cybersecurity Consultant
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Act as a key Security Lead and be responsible for conducting and completing Enterprise Security Risk Assessments, Technical Risk Assessments, Cloud Security Assessments, Cyber Maturity Gap Analysis based on industry leading cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO, CMMC)
- Develop short and medium term security roadmaps for client facing engagements
- Act has a SME for number of Security engagements which will require input for secure architecture and Incident Response
- Participate in security architecture discussions to work through risk, security, and compliance concerns
- Present to both, non-technical and technical customers, findings and recommendations, as well as other cybersecurity matters relevant to customer environments.
- Document cybersecurity policies and standards for customers
- Serve as a senior cyber security consultant to the various lines of businesses by providing subject matter expertise as it relates to new cloud platforms and emerging cloud technologies.
- Deep experience with all facets of cloud security, including identity and access management, monitoring, auditing, preventative architectures, data encryption, Mitigation, and guidance/understanding with respect to Penetration Testing methodologies.
- Conduct security reviews of planned cloud migration initiatives across the organization and produce high quality Threat models for cloud environments clearly articulating risks.
- Research and maintain an extensive knowledge base of current cloud technology advancements, trends and directions and identify the potential threats and exposures.
- Educate and communicate cloud security requirements, policies, standards and procedures to business/internal stakeholders as it relates to projects and strategic initiatives.
- Assist in proposal development on an on-going basis.
- Responsible for planning and scoping Privileged Account Management (PAM), SIEM, Endpoint Security Solutions, MFA, and others
- Improve work process efficiencies and develop innovative approaches to completing scope of work in time and in budget
- Proven knowledge of information technology security, trends, leading practices, regulatory and industry standard compliance issues (PCI, NIST, ISO, CMMC)
- Participate in Red, Blue Team, or other general tabletop exercises
- Build, manage and optimize relationship with clients
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience doing cybersecurity consulting work
- 5+ years of experience doing cloud security work CASB related
- A bachelor's degree or College diploma in computer science, cyber-security or a related field
