Connecting Canada's Startup Ecosystem with NATO

23 Sep 2020
9:00am - 10:00am PDT

As the commercial sector overtakes the traditional defence/security industry in the pace of innovation, government agencies and industry primes are increasingly leveraging technologies from startups/scaleups to tackle current and future challenges.

To discuss this shift in NatSec procurement, the NATO Association of Canada and the Defence and Security Labs are proud to host a virtual panel gathering the NATO Communications and Information Agency and representatives from the three Canadian startups that participated in the latest NATO Innovation Challenge pitch day.

Following pitches by the three finalists and a presentation on the procurement process for SMEs by NCIA, all panelists will be invited to exchange takeaways on best practices regarding NatSec open innovation followed by a Q&A period.

This virtual event will be of great interest to entrepreneurs, industry, and investors considering entering the NatSec open innovation space and more specifically NATO’s innovation ecosystem.
