About Damen Services Canada Ltd

Damen is a family-owned business, founded in 1927 in The Netherlands. Today the company operates 36 shipbuilding- and repair yards around the work and employs more than 12,000 people. Damen has delivered over 7,000 vessels to 100 countries and typically builds around 175 vessels on annual bases. 

Due to its unique, standardized ship-design concept and years of experience, Damen can guarantee consistent quality and quick deliveries.

The Damen Services division aims to provide Damen customers with the best possible service. The team consists of 330 engineers, project managers and skilled field service engineers (“FSE”), who travel around the world, assisting our customers in the field to repair- and/or maintain vessels. 

With our strategic network of Service Hubs around the world, Damen is never far away to support a customer. 

In 2024 Damen opened a Service Hub in Victoria, BC.  The hub is strategically located to provide fast and adequate services to maritime operators in North America. A team of local- and international employees combine flexibility and a fast response time, while utilizing the benefits of being part of the large Damen group. The services provided range from single services like part sales and technical assistance, to complex services like warranty support, maintenance agreements and docking assistance/management.
